For all of you Vancouver gardeners. If you’ve put the peas and hearty stuff in the ground already, make sure to put down some remay (an insulating, but permeable garden fabric) by Friday as it could snow. I’m bringing my starts from the greenhouse inside, just to be sure.
And for all of you that are surprised, don’t be! This happens almost every year, warm Jan/Feb and then a few little cold snaps in March and April. Mother nature is telling us that sometimes, waiting is worth it.

It’s the perfect paradox! We’re fighting the war on food, but against Monsanto and not Germany.
Victory Gardens is an urban farming project in Vancouver BC. We endeavor to expand the urban growing community through providing a range a services, to residents and businesses, which provide the infrastructure, education and empowerment to grow food in city space.
